December the 27th Simpson Speedway gets the SRA Season Underway
The SRA 2020-2021 Racing Seasons Is About To Get Underway

The 2020-2021 Season for the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victorian is looking to get under way with the first event booked in at Simpson Speedway on Sunday the 27th of December. After recent discussions with the venue operators the season is looking to finally get underway with Simpson kicking the racing of in December before most of the scheduled dates begin in earnest from January the 1st at Premier Speedway.
Due to the unknown of when and if the 2020-2021 season would start it was disappointing that the SRA could not conducted the 2020-2021 Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series but after talks with the Series valued partners all is looking great for the return of the Series in the 2021-2022 season, the SRA thank all our partners.
While it has been difficult times for all parties in the sport and especially the venue operators the SRA are working with each venue to endeavour to make each event happen and be successful.
Please note that for the venues there is so much work for them to meet the State and Federal Government restriction and to implement the requirements to make these events happen, the best of plans can and will most probably keep changing while the COVID-19 exists.
The SRA will try to keep the competitors and members up to speed on the requirements to attend the planned events but we also ask each and every person to go to each venues web site or face book pages to see what requirements will need to be meet to attend the events.
In many or all cases with ticketing this may only be available on-line and mandatory QR Coding will most likely take place upon entry to the venues, to assist with Contact Tracing should it be required. All competitors and officials will also need to complete the QR Coding.
So onwards with the planned events, under each event scheduled below is a notice stating the format and nominations information for each event where possible so far. Some event formats may change to what is stated below.
The SRA of Vic may yet add a few more events to the dates below; in the event of this happening the SRA will endeavour to let all parties know as soon as possible.
So here we go with the 2020-2021 season is set to get underway with the following events.
December 2020. 27th Simpson Speedway – SRA Open Sprintcars. (Format Easter Trail) Nomination Forms will be E Mailed out and Online soon by the SRA.
28th Borderline Speedway – Open Sprintcars. (Format to be announced) Nominations forms will be done by Borderline Speedway TBA. January 2021. 1st Premier Speedway - SRA Open Sprintcars. (Format Easter Trail) Nominations forms will be by Premier Speedway shortly.
9th Avalon Raceway - SRA Open Sprintcars. (Format Easter Trail) Nomination Forms will be E Mailed out and Online soon by the SRA.
20th Avalon Raceway – Sprintcars – (Presidents Cup. Format to be announced) Nominations forms yet to be announced.
21st Borderline Speedway – Sprintcars – (Kings Challenge, revised Format to be announced) Nominations forms will be done by Borderline Speedway TBA.
22nd - Premier Speedway – Sprintcars Fifty for Fifty night one ($7,500 to win) 23rd - Premier Speedway – Sprintcars Fifty for Fifty night one ($15,000 to win) Nominations forms will be by Premier Speedway shortly. February 2021. 20th Western Speedway TBC - SRA Open Sprintcars. (Format Easter Trail) Nominations forms yet to be announced. March 2021. 6th Simpson Speedway –SRA Victorian 360 Sprintcar Title /Triple Crown Series R1. Nomination Forms will be E Mailed out and Online soon by the SRA.
13th - Premier Speedway - SRA Open Sprintcars. (Format TBA) Nominations forms yet to be announced.
20th Avalon Raceway – SRA Open Sprintcars - Great southern Showdown. Format and Nomination forms yet to be announced. April 2021. 2nd Avalon Raceway – Easter Sprintcar Trail Night 1. 3rd Borderline Speedway – Easter Sprintcar Trail Night 2. 4th Premier Speedway – Easter Sprintcar Trail Night 3. Format and Nominations Forms to be confirmed.
16th (Friday) Premier Speedway – SRA 360 Sprintcar Triple Crown Series R2. 17th Avalon Raceway – SRA 360 Sprintcar Triple Crown Series R3. Nomination Forms will be E Mailed out and Online soon by the SRA.
