Premier Speedway Next Stop for Eureka Garages and Sheds Series
Author : SRA Media

With only two rounds remaining of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series and the next stop on the tour heads to Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway this Saturday night with another great night anticipated with the double bonus being the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series also on the program.

Series leader Terry Rankin will return following his DNF last weekend while he wasn’t alone with four of the top five in series points all failing to finish the A-main at Portland. Matthew Reed will be looking to close the points while both he and Rankin qualified extremely well last week while Ashley Cook capitalised on his podium finish last weekend to jump to third place overall ahead of Jordy Rae and Tim Hutchins fifth in the series standings.

Brock Hallett returns to Warrnambool following his triumph at his home track last weekend at Portland while runner up Tate Frost also returns this week. Both drivers come back to the scene of their biggest wins in their career as Hallett famously won the 2023 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic while Frost won his preliminary feature.

The field will boast an exciting mix of drivers including 2022 Classic winner Lockie McHugh who will again take the reigns of the Domain Ramsay owned Sprintcar while doing double duty along with Jordy Rae as the pair also contest the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series on the same night.

Daniel Pestka comes to Warrnambool in very good form while his recent feature win at Murray Bridge shows his proven speed while winning last weekends B-main before a great run saw him finish in fourth place in the A-main at Portland.

The inclusions of Jamie veal, Brett Milburn, Grant Stansfield, Darwin’s Kale Quinlan, Jordyn Charge, Tasmania’s Brody Appleby and the much improved Will Carroll will all be doing their best to not only take points away from the series regulars but also challenge for the A-main win.

While the series has only two rounds remaining drivers such as Chris Solomon, Mitch Smith, Kevin Reeves, Adam King, David Dennison and David Aldersley will all be looking to either maintain a top 10 in the series or attempt to break into it.

All drivers will contest time trials, a heat race each plus the top 8 shootout while a B-main will all occur prior to the 30 lap A-main.

While much of the interest centres around the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series round the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series has produced numerous great stories and results with an exciting line up set to contest round 5.

Last start feature winner Daniel Storer will be keen to keep his superb form going while Jordy Rae’s recent round win at Warrnambool in February will also see him as a pre race favourite. The fact Rae also recently won the Victorian Pro Sprint Title at Simpson also now firmly sees him as one of the divisions drivers to beat.

Corey McCullagh and Lockie McHugh will be in the mix for the A-main win while regulars Sam Wren, David McKay, Andy Hibbert, Steven Loader and David Donegan will be well worth watching while Libby Ellis make’s an appearance from her Queensland base.

Worth noting Jett Speed will make his debut in the class jumping out of his Formula 500 for the night while Harry Ross has also impressed in his recent runs in the class.
